One of the things I love to do is observe people. Everyone has a story of their own. Like the single mom who brings her child to the park and watches her child play, while she wonders what has become of her life. Or the homeless man under a shed in downtown trying to catch some sleep before the evening sets , knowing that a long night awaits him. Every stranger has a story. But are they really strangers? Or are they people dieing to tell the world who they are.
For sometime now I have been wanting to create a project for myself so that I can expand my creativity and heart. I realized that I had a compassionate connection with random strangers. I feel drawn to them wanting to photograph a bit of their history.
As a classical artist when I would paint on a canvas, my inspiration would come from color, music, or shapes. But now that I have a camera in my hand instead of a brush, I'm drawn to people, emotions, and events. These past couple of months I have been exposed to some great photographers , that help each other to push their limits. I was inspired to push my own limit.
At first this project was going to be a personal journey. But then I decided I couldn't keep this to myself. I wanted to share this experience with other great photographers.
This is my project: Photograph 99 faces and tell 99 stories in 99 days.
